The rules I break got me a place up on the radar.

My meal at The Carron was beautiful. I started with creamy crab soup then had an 8oz fillet steak (which wasn't rare enough, disappointingly) with garlic prawns. I was absolutely stuffed, but I managed to finish my steak, like I had intended. I was clearly on a major binge, because I even manage to put away most of a dark chocolate and rum tart with Tia Maria ice cream and an amaretto coffee. My high-waisted white skirt was not too comfortable by the end of it. I had a lovely time though. I love talking to my mum; she's so good for the gossip so I had a good chat with her. My daddy, boyfriend and brother were allowed to chip in occasionally too though!

The past few days have been largely uneventful. Harvey went home on Saturday which was really sad. When I said goodbye to him at my parents' front door, he looked dejected. I just wanted to put his lead on and walk him all the way back to mine. The rest of the weekend involved work, sleep and relaxation, which was nice. Neil and I watched Cloverfield, which was an hour and a quarter of my life totally down the drain. A pointless waste of my precious time on this planet. We also watched The Orphanage. Now, I am not easily freaked out. I love gory horror films; the nastier the deaths, the better. I love shrieking at the television. I do not, however, like being fucked with:

On Saturday, we had it to turn it off forty minutes in to the film because I was so scared. God knows how people managed to cope with it in the cinema. I managed to get though the rest of the film last night though and I totally recommend it. If you like being scared shitless, of course. (It may also be noted that I only managed to get through the rest of the film last night with a couple of breaks. It was all getting too much.)

College was good today. Holly and shared a Marks & Spencer crayfish and rocket sandwich, we went for coffee and browsed New Look, laughing at the crazy outfits the staff had on to celebrate the store's first anniversary in its current location. They all looked horrific. It's an inexpensive shop, but that doesn't justify the nasty way in which the staff dress. Every single member of staff had on neon pink legwarmers and various other trashy accessories. There was a preggo in a mad lime-green creation that barely covered her backside.

Class-wise, Design In Context involved a fun little trip to the IT Centre, and we learned that one of our favourite lecturers is going to see Girls Aloud the night after we are. Our Guidance Tutor spent the morning banging on to us about how we have to pass Communications in order to enter the HND course next year (Hello? Higher English?!) and we had a Communications speaking assessment in our last class. I was quite nervous, actually. With the bank holidays, I hadn't been to Comms for weeks, and didn't even have a debating team, let alone a researched topic to argue. I was given a group to join and had five minutes to prepare for a rebuttal of my oppositions argument that all drugs should be declassified in the UK. We got our results at the end of the class. If there's one thing I'm good at, it's ripping people to shreds in an extremely polite and articulate manner.

Anyway, I'm think about making a cup of tea, so I'll sign off with my current wishlist of mostly unaffordable accessories:
